I have personally witnessed a number of close friends being manipulated into handing their children over in a crisis situation due to not being fully aware of their legal rights, later to be ordered to immediately return the child to the parents' care: as a result of this, many children are being removed from parents and families due to massive lack of support, knowledge, and some social workers taking the decision into their own hands without the case even being heard before the court.
