Closed petition Review alternative hospital sites

We call on the Government to halt all further work on the Gloucester Street site as it is not in the best interest of the population to keep spending money on that project. The States Assembly deserves to have all information available to it in order to make this important decision.

More details

Jersey needs a new hospital containing all current services, including mental health, under one roof. This requires a large site. The Gloucester Street site has been rejected twice and the reasons given cannot change: it is also too small. We call on Jersey’s government, as a matter of urgency, to commission the French company, AIA, to carry out a feasibility study on other SOJ owned sites to assess the cost and time to build a new hospital on each site before a decision is made in the States.
