Closed petition Restart Stage 1 of the Island Plan after a viable population policy is in place.
We feel that a sustainable population policy must be agreed and implemented before any meaningful decisions can be made. The plan must be based on good evidence to serve us well. Our new sewage plant cannot handle more than 118,000 people, so is already almost at capacity without including tourists.

Stage 1 of the review states that it will:
1) Scope and develop the evidence base requirements
2) Commission reports and studies
3) Explore initial strategic issues and options
4) Develop Sustainability Appraisal
None of this is possible without agreeing a sustainable immigration limit with the public of Jersey and should be done before we move to stage 2. We are 7th most densely populated place on the planet.
