Closed petition The States should ensure that Ministers respect States Complaint Board findings
A number of individuals have had complaints against the States upheld by the SCB, only to be ignored or, worse still, to be fought by them in order to avoid paying an appropriate level of compensation or taking the remedial action recommended in the SCB’s findings. This is totally unacceptable.
More details
Several States employees have been mistreated by their seniors; others have suffered mistreatment of a more personal (confidential) nature. Yet, in some cases where the SCB has upheld their complaints, the States has failed to acknowledge its culpability and in one particular case, has gone on to fight the complainant through Court, with legal costs now exceeding £1,000,000. It is clear that the States are totally unwilling to accept responsibility. Please assist by signing this Petition.
