Closed petition Financial support for people under 25 who’ve lost their income due to Covid-19
The Jersey Government will not provide income or financial benefits to anyone under the age of 25 that has not lived independently for more than a year.
The States of Jersey is happy to classify us an adult until we need their help. It’s time for change!

We need an emergency provision to enable young people who have worked hard to gain their independence, the ability to protect this through these challenging times.
My income was lost due to the Corona Virus and the States of Jersey’s reply was to move back in with my parents which is just not possible.
We pay tax and we pay full social security contributions. We are adults in every sense and we should be treated like adults by the States of Jersey Government. We need change and fast!
