With no vaccine for Covid-19, the use of facemasks and antiviral hand gel should be mandatory for everyone when in shops and other enclosed areas such as public transport regardless of whether social distancing is maintained. Hand sanitiser should be supplied at entry points to all public facilities

Facemasks, when worn correctly, can prevent the spread of Covid-19. Cloth masks by 70% and N95 masks by up to 99%, please see this video. https://youtu.be/zhQw7vLNsDA - The use of antiviral hand sanitiser will also reduce the spread of Covid-19 if used effectively. This has been proven in many countries. We therefore request that the Health Minister enact legislation to enforce the use of Facemasks and Antiviral hand gel in all shops and publicly accessible buildings and on public transport.
