Closed petition Improve road safety in Sion for pedestrians and cyclists

The main road through Sion village is hazardous for all. The pavements are inconsistent, frequently overgrown and too narrow for pushchairs and wheelchairs to pass without moving into the stream of heavy traffic moving at 30mph. With a new supermarket due to open soon, we demand safety for locals.

More details

Sion has long been neglected as it sits between the three parishes of St Helier, Trinity and St John. However, Sion is changing and new developments could make it a genuinely pleasant area to live should it be made easier and safer to walk through the village, use the amenities and enjoy a walk or cycle along the many delightful green lanes surrounding the village. We need a wider pavement, slower traffic and a cycle lane through the village, along La Grande Route de St Jean.
