Closed petition Prioritise Jersey residents for Senior Public Sector Jobs

Too many senior Public Sector roles, such as the Police Chief and States Vet, go to those from the UK. There must be better representation of local Island talent among the successful applicants and questions need to be asked about why we can’t recruit from our own workforce.

I am asking the States to consider bringing in changes to the way senior Public Sector roles are recruited for so that local applicants are given a better chance to be successful.
