Closed petition Government of Jersey to apply moderators to its social media
The GoJ has made good use of social media as a communication tool throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, and in all areas of its' services.
However, posts are often populated by clear misinformation which goes unchallenged. Where public health and law are concerned, this is particularly dangerous.

It is important to note that this is not calling for the Government to supress Islanders' speech, however misguided, but to challenge demonstrably false information propagating on its' own pages with expert opinion.
The government has access to its own teams of experts who are in a far better position to combat false or misleading information than the public are, where often compelling emotionally charged arguments weigh over the factual information being presented.
