Closed petition ACT NOW to repair Jersey Opera House to ensure it re-opens prior to Summer 2022.
On 26th March 2020, the Jersey Opera House ("JOH") were forced to close during the Coronavirus pandemic. Emergency repairs are required in order for JOH to reopen. 20 months since its closure, JOH still remains closed to the local community.

On 15 April 2021, £2.2m was allocated to restore the JOH as part of the Government's Fiscal Stimulus programme. It was announced in September 2021 that Jersey Opera House was “not likely to re-open before September 2022”. More recently, it was announced that JOH building works are estimated to be completed by June 2022.
This petition proposes that building work is brought forward so that it is completed well in advance of June 2022, ensuring that the Opera House can reopen in time for the summer season.
