The recent war in Ukraine has caused unprecendented hikes in fuel prices because a large percentage of the fuel comes through Russian pipelines. Our government should not profit from these increases as this is causing unnecessary hardship and an increase in our the cost of living.

As a result of the war between Russia and the Ukraine, oil prices per barrel have increases dramatically and this highlights the need to explore other alternative supplies in other parts of the world to stabilize fuel prices. Dependency on one source is never a good thing.
At the start of the war a barrel of crude oil rose to $105 but is likely to rise to over $130 per barrel in the coming weeks.
