Closed petition Jersey Residents to offer refuge to Ukrainians under Homes for Ukraine scheme
This petition seeks for the States Assembly and Council of Ministers to agree to opening up a register of Jersey residents and potential sponsors to facilitate the “Homes for Ukraine” scheme.
This scheme has been adopted in UK, IoM and Guernsey, but not in Jersey.

It is good to be mindful that within living memory around 10,000 Jersey residents evacuated in June 1940 to the UK, and beyond in the face of the War in Europe. The UK also had huge economic and resource issues at the time, but UK citizens opened up their homes so that Jerseys displaced people could seek refuge.
