Psychiatric Care Facilities are not legally regulated or reviewed.
It has been confirmed that there are no laws, legislation or policies and procedures which enforce our services being regulated and reviewed.
It would be best to have an independent service.

Aims of the independent review:
To make sure that the best practice is being offered to not only patients, but the staff.
To avoid the occurrence of medical malpractice claims including violations and breaches of Human Rights and to review and address existing claims in this area.
To review existing legal cases and assist those currently seeking legal assistance. Further, to implement a regulatory framework for those experiencing difficulties in psychiatric care.
To help implement comprehensive legislation in relation to psychiatric care.
This petition aims to bring in an independent service excluding any Jersey services for a non-biased opinion with no personal or professional links
