During the current dramatic increase in interest rates, the Government of Jersey should reinstate the level of tax relief from 2016 which was a maximum of £15,000 maximum for 2023 onwards.

During the current cost of living crisis, the Government of Jersey should support homeowners with qualified mortgages, who are suffering from the constant rise of the Bank of England interest rates. The Government should abandon the phasing out of the qualifying mortgage tax relief and reinstate the level of tax relief from 2016 which was a maximum of £15,000 for 2023 onwards.
