It speaks for itself, a waste of money and an unnecessary cost that would effect the local businesses on the street. Not to mention the almost immeasurable costs to the government itself and other businesses that need to refer to street.

Renaming Halkett Street is the responsibility of the Parish of St Helier and not the States Assembly. This matter is due to be debated in the Parish Assembly on 30/08/2023 where residents can make their views known either directly or via elected members.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
