Rejected petition Stop the name change of Halkett Street.

It speaks for itself, a waste of money and an unnecessary cost that would effect the local businesses on the street. Not to mention the almost immeasurable costs to the government itself and other businesses that need to refer to street.

More details

This previously rejected petition is re-entered on the basis of allowing an island wide voice, where archaic law only allows parishioners to vote, those signatures can easily be filter due to the signing requirements whereby a postcode is needed.

This would allow an official vote to be entered, and would further impose a necessity for the States chamber to look at the issue if sufficient signatures are found.
