Closed petition Reduce the visibility and accessibility of vapes to children

Vapes can be found placed near front counters in many stores and look attractive to children.

More details

Although it is illegal to sell vapes to anyone under 18, children are not always being asked for ID when buying them and it seems that children as young as 10 have been able to purchase them. Shops need to be fined if they sell to anyone under 18 years of age.

Why can’t vapes be hidden like cigarettes and tobacco as they are dangerous and addictive? There is literature stating the harm that vaping can do to the body. The law needs to change.

It is a serious problem that the Government needs to recognise and to address by reducing the visibility and accessibility of vapes to children.
