Proposition: Property owners/housing trusts to charge 30% of tenant income as rent is considered affordable if it makes up no more than 30% of a couple's median gross monthly income (see Article in The Guardian June 2023)

Buy-to-let Landlords to let at break-even prices.

If landlords sell-up, allow tenants and/or First Time Buyers to buy property at 4.5 times their annual income.

Reduce demand on Income Support and redirect Income Support to those in need.

Help to address the Cost of Living Crisis.

By making the rental market affordable, it could profoundly reduce the risk of strike action, negotiations around pay and industrial disruption across the board.
