Petition Stop the proposed changes to the driving licence medical standards
From 5 October 2024, changes are being made to driving licence groups and to the medical standards required for each group, increasing the medical requirements for some licence groups.
More details
As a professional driver these changes will have a massively negative effect on my livelihood and my family’s lives both now and in the future. I have vision in one eye only and drive cars, vans, and lorries daily - my driving ability has not changed, and I am capable of driving.
Help stop the proposed changes to driving licence medical standards that are not needed in Jersey as this will affect the livelihoods of a lot of professional drivers. There is no need for the changes especially in relation to vision as there are people who have driven professionally for a long time with one eye or reduced vision and never had a problem.
