Petition Mandate recycling in apartment blocks comprising more than 10 households
Large apartment blocks typically have very regular waste collections and therefore provide an easy opportunity for recycling by the many households in each block. Attempts to meet recycling targets could be greatly enhanced by making recycling mandatory for these large apartment blocks.

By requiring apartment blocks over a certain size to have recycle bins on site, 1000s of households would immediately commence recycling.
Recycling bins have been in place at Century Buildings for around 2 years but are no longer going to be available on site. The 150 households will have to use recycle bins further away which may discourage recycling altogether.
