Petition Provide an NHS-style "Right to Choose" service for neurodivergent assessments.
For many children and adults, wait lists for neurodivergent assessments are long. In England, you have a legal right to choose where you or your child are assessed for neurodivergent conditions, such as autism, FASD, or ADHD. This can include private providers if they are commissioned by the NHS.
More details
The "Right to Choose" should be made available to islanders to help assess for neurodivergent conditions in a timely manner, and should extend to private assessment in England.
This will help reduce on-island waiting times and ease pressures on Jersey's health services.
There are on-island private assessors who islanders could use for assessment.
