Petition Establish a permanent Jersey Scrutiny Panel on PFAS contamination
PFAS contamination threatens Jersey’s water, land, air and food. Islanders face £40m+ in treatment costs, over £1m a year in running costs, and millions more in health and survey costs. A permanent scrutiny panel is needed to protect Islanders with transparency, continuity and accountability.

Responsibility is split between three Ministers and two Scrutiny Panels, leaving no single body accountable. With elections next year, promised reviews may stall or be abandoned. A standing PFAS panel would give Islanders continuity, publish test data openly, and hold Ministers and Jersey Water to account for the largest public health and environmental investment in our history — ensuring Islanders get the answers and protection and Justice they deserve.
