Petition Ban all products containing glyphosates in Jersey

Furthermore, glyphosates can persist in soil for up to 180 days and have a half-life of up to 240 days in water and may impact on soil ecosystems and plant health. The possible negative impacts of glyphosate on pollinators (1. & 2.) and therefore the food chain are of particular concern.

Guernsey has banned the importation and sale of products with glyphosate which are intended for amateur use (to control weeds on domestic properties) though professional use of the product continues. Jersey needs to act, and more discussion should be had on alternative weed management.
