Fireworks should only be allowed at organised and/or licensed events as, apart from contributing to environmental damage, they can cause distress to individuals with sensory issues and/or PTSD and serious distress (both psychologically and physically) to animals.

According to UKs leading pet insurer Petplan, 76% of dog owners, 75% of cat owners & 95% of rabbit owners reported their pets being affected by fireworks.
Many advocates & animal welfare organizations, including The Kennel Club (the UK’s largest organisation devoted to dog health) & the RSPCA , support limiting fireworks to professionally organised, licensed displays, providing set times & locations that people can plan around, or quieter alternatives like drone or laser shows.
