Closed petition Strengthen Protection for Minors by updating Police powers & parental safeguards

We call for police authority to recover minors, a 9pm curfew, parental accountability, and penalties for adults who harbour children. This change protects children before harm occurs!!

We ask the States Assembly to consider reforms that:

• Give police explicit powers to return minors to a place of safety when necessary.
• Introduce a curfew for unaccompanied minors in public spaces late at night.
• Strengthen parental responsibility provisions.
• Establish penalties for adults who knowingly harbour a minor without the consent of a parent or guardian.

These measures would create a more consistent legal framework and help prevent harm by enabling earlier intervention where appropriate.
