Petition Install PFAS filters in all households and public spaces in Jersey.

I had blood tests at Medilab Jersey and my results were 3.5ug/L for Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid and Perfluorohexane sulfonic acid 2.4 µg/L. I'm a local woman living in St Brelades, drinking mains water, and I know a person living in St. Helier has double the amount.

More details

PFAS in drinking water was associated with higher rates of cancers in the digestive, endocrine, respiratory, oral cavity, and urinary systems, with Researchers estimating 4,626 - 6,864 cancer cases per year in the U.S. could be attributable to PFAS in drinking water. Higher prenatal exposure to PFAS in drinking water has also been associated with increased risk of acute myeloid leukaemia and Wilms tumours in children.
