Simple, modern laws can ensure AEDs are always accessible, reliable, and known to emergency services. Jersey needs clear laws to ensure AEDs are visible, reliable, and available where people live and gather.
We require:
• Mandatory AED registration to create a complete, accurate island map.
• A legal duty to maintain public‑access AEDs so they’re always ready to use.
• AEDs required in all new residential developments of five or more homes.
• AEDs required in all new commercial and public buildings to protect staff and visitors.
